Rima has a strong track record in challenging Home Office decisions through Judicial Review proceedings in the Upper Tribunal and Administrative Court, addressing issues such as procedural impropriety, abuse of power, and delays in application processing. She specialises in asylum claims, applications outside the rules, appeals at the First and Upper Tribunal, and matters relating to deportation, removal, and detention. She is also experienced across all areas of immigration law, including naturalisation, spouse visas, visit visas, and other applications under the Immigration Rules.

Before joining the legal profession, Rima conducted research for the International Human Rights Clinic at SOAS and produced a report for the European Parliament on the complicity of several EU member states in violations of international law in the context of targeted drone killings. She has also contributed to governance and rule of law projects with the United Nations Development Programme in Sudan.

Rima is recognised for her meticulous legal research, precise drafting skills, and strategic advocacy. Fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English, with spoken Arabic, she is committed to delivering client-focused solutions and upholding human rights and justice in every case she handles.
