What to prepare
- Summary of assets, liabilities and business interests
- Existing wills, LPAs, trusts and shareholder agreements
- Family circumstances and intended beneficiaries
- Details of tax or financial advisers
Fees and the first consultation
The initial consultation is £325 + VAT. Further work is separately scoped and priced. We will explain the charging basis and any expected third-party costs before you instruct us.
Questions about asset protection and succession planning
Can planning guarantee assets will be protected from claims or tax?
No. The effect of an arrangement depends on the circumstances and applicable rules. We explain limitations and any need for specialist advice; we do not promise immunity from creditors or tax.
Why review company documents alongside a will?
Share transfer restrictions and ownership arrangements can affect what happens to a business interest. The documents should be considered together.
