Questions about family law
Do we have to go to court?
Not necessarily. Many matters are resolved through negotiation or mediation. Court proceedings may be needed where agreement cannot be reached or where there are urgent concerns.
Is a prenuptial agreement binding?
A court will take a properly prepared agreement into account but is not strictly bound by it. How the agreement was made and whether it is fair both matter, so take advice well before the wedding.
